The Task
We interpreted type, experimented with it and then finally looked at concentrating on type. For this project I took the idea literally and looked at the impact that focus has on hand lettering.
The Solution
Over the course of several days I set time limits for myself as I hand drew an uppercase Q from Mrs. Eaves. I progressed from tracing the letter to free handing it with a reference and then with no reference at all. When all the drawings were brought together in poster form improvements and setbacks can be seen dependent on concentration and interruptions.
