The Task
This open-ended project called for experimental typography… that was our only requirement. I was tempted to take another pass at the Bleeding Faces project but ultimately decided to do something entirely out of my comfort zone – to attempt a project that I wouldn’t normally take on at work.
The Solution
My experimental typography project tackled the idea of transforming type. As an added bonus, I rolled my favorite pastime – barbecue – into the design. I proposed making large letters out of split firewood that, when ignited, would change from uppercase to lowercase.
